Our Story
RANGE 54 was started by a local entrepreneur and a recently-retired Derby, KS police officer, both of who saw opportunities to provide a superior product when it came to shooting, concealed carry, and self-defense instruction. In the fall of 2015, RANGE 54 opened its doors to the public, offering the very best in target systems, trainers, and facilities anywhere in the area. RANGE 54 places special emphasis on the practical aspects of shooting and self-defense, staying focused on what will keep you and your family safe in an ever-changing world. To that end, the RANGE 54 staff constantly seeks out the latest in equipment, and employs proven training techniques, to bring you the most enjoyable training, shooting and retail experience available in Wichita.
What We Offer
Our facility is a family-friendly pistol and rifle range located on historic US Highway-54, one-half block east of Edgemoor. We offer the very latest technology available at an indoor shooting facility in the state, with a climate-controlled, HEPA filtered, shooting environment for your safety and year-round comfort. We offer multiple shooting classes and training opportunities, as well as a 3,500 square foot retail shop for all of your firearm and ammunition needs. RANGE 54 provides a true family atmosphere, with an outstanding lounge area available to everyone who visits. Sit by the fireplace and catch up with friends when you’re finished on the range. Comfortable seating, tables, magazines and a big-screen television provide wonderful amenities and a safe place to relax before, during, or after you and your friends have enjoyed your time on the range.
